San Sebastian rides strong start to rout listless EAC for second straight win in Premier Cup
Michael Calisaan scored eight of his points in the first half to spark the Stags romp over the Generals.

SAN Sebastian scored its second straight win by way of a 79-54 drubbing of Emilio Aguinaldo College in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup on Wednesday.

Renzo Navarro topscored for the Stags with 11 points to go with five assists and two steals. But it was Michael Calisaan and Jason David who provided the spark in the first half where the Stags raced off to a 24-6 start.

The Stags hardly slowed down from there, even leading by 64-39 entering the final quarter.

Calisaan and David poured eight points each in the first 20 minutes of action.

San Sebastian improved to 2-1 while keeping the Generals winless in two outings.

"The boys played really well, not only the first group, kasi second group ganun pa rin," said San Sebastian coach Egay Macaraya.

Jerom Garcia and Hamadou Laminou paced EAC with 14 and 10 points, respectively.

"Alam naman natin na advantage lang namin is di makatanggap ng bola yung Laminou and na-pressure namin yung point para at least ma-delay, the game plan worked," Macaraya said.
