NATIONAL University defeated College of Saint Benilde, 104-88, on Sunday to keep its quarterfinal hopes alive in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup in San Juan.

J-Jay Alejandro flirted with a double-double as he finished with 25 points and nine rebounds as the Bulldogs upped their mark to 4-3 and took fifth place in Group B.

Alejandro hit seven triples, five in the first half where he scored 19.

Matthew Johnson had 21 points, while Clement Leutcheu finished with 15 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks as the Blazers ended their Filoil preseason campaign with a 1-7 win-loss mark.
