Cardinals break losing streak by turning back debuting Cobras
Josan Nimes fired a team-high 18 points in Mapua's breakthrough win in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup.

MAPUA registered its breakthrough win in the 2015 Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup after spoiling the debut of Southwestern University, 81-73, on Friday in San Juan City.

The Cardinals picked up from where they left off in Cebu that saw them topped the Mayors Cup tournament following their wire-to-wire win against the Cobras.

Comebacking Josan Nimes topscored with 18 points for the Cardinals, who lost their first four outings before finally barging into the win column.

Allwell Oraeme meanwhile, grabbed 17 rebounds and finished with nine points for Mapua.

Mark Tallo led the Cobras with 21 points in their first game in the pre-season meet.
