LA Salle coach Aldin Ayo assured Jeron Teng’s injury isn’t serious enough to force him to sit out the Green Archers’ semifinal match against Ateneo in the Filoil Flying V Premier Preseason Cup.

The 6-3 forward landed awkwardly after taking a jump shot late in La Salle’s 91-71 quarterfinal win over Far Eastern University and spent some time on the floor in obvious pain.

Teng returned to the bench in his own power although he never returned in the game that by then was all but decided.

“Maglalaro ‘yun kasi Ateneo kalaban,” assured Ayo.

Ayo also added Teng didn’t show any sign that he was affected by the injury after the game.

“Malakas ‘yung katawan nung bata,” Ayo said of the La Salle star, who finished with 28 points on 12-of-18 shooting from the field before getting hurt.
