NU Bulldogs cruise past UP Maroons for third consecutive victory

NATIONAL University downed University of the Philippines, 75-64, on Thursday for its third straight win in the 2016 Filoil Flying V Tournament at the San Juan Arena.

Cedric Labing-isa and JV Gallego scored 14 points apiece as the Bulldogs improved their win-loss record 5-1.

But veteran coach Eric Altamirano stressed that the team's goal is to work on their chemistry.

"Winning is not our focus, 'yung chemistry, 'yung getting to know each other (is our goal),” said Altamirano.

The Bulldogs outscored the Fighting Maroons, 23-10, in the third quarter for a 57-38 lead and were never threatened.

Paul Desiderio scored 28 points for the Maroons, who suffered their third straight loss and now hold a 2-4 record.
