Arellano banks on balanced attack to score wire-to-wire win over UP in Filoil Cup

ARELLANO kept winning even without star guard Jio Jalalon as the Chiefs defeated University of the Philippines, 75-61, on Friday in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup.

Donald Gumaru had 12 points, while Kent Salado added 11 points, seven rebounds, and five assists for the Chiefs, who improved their record to 5-1.

Arellano also won for the second straight time without Jalalon, who is in Bangkok for the Gilas cadets in the Seaba Cup.

Dave Moralde scored 15 points for the Maroons, who slipped to 2-3.
