CEBU — Southwestern University kept its slate clean with a 79-56 rout of University of San Carlos in the Cebu stop of the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup on Wednesday at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex.

Cameroonian import Landry Sanjo scored 27 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as SWU scored its third win in a row after victories over NCAA teams Jose Rizal University and Perpetual Help a few weeks ago in Manila.

The Cobras now hold the top spot in Group A but face a tough wind-up in the group stage with games against bitter Cebu rival University of the Visayas, UAAP champions La Salle and reigning Filoil title-holders University of the East this weekend.

USC suffered its third loss in four outings.

Cesafi MVP Mark Jayven Tallo had 12 points while Fil-Canadian guard Adams Mohammed added 11 markers for SWU, which raced to a 23-6 lead and was never threatened.
