CHIANG Kai Shek College and Hope Christian High School arranged another title showdown in Division A even as Grace Christian College and Philippine Chen Kuang High School won their rubber matches in Divison B of the Filipino-Chinese Amateur Athletic Federation.
Led by John Martin Galinato, Jason Celis and Allan Beltran, the CKSC Blue Dragons clobbered Paco Citizen Foundation dribblers, 74-56, while Hope Christians outlasted Manila Patriotic School, 66-55, behind the heroics of Harvey Pagsanjan and Mac Chester Jacob at the CKSC gym in Tondo.
Galinato had 14 points while Celis and Beltran combined for 20 to lead the six-peat seeking Blue Dragons to victory.
“It’s going to be another exiting finale, both Chiang Kai and Hope Christian have a storied rivalry,” said league chairman Daniel Ong.
In a closed door knockout match, Joshua Jugar exploded for 33 points as PCKHS outlasted St. Peter Apostle School, 82-80, to set a title date with GCC, which beat Jubilee Christian Academy, 61-57, with Mascus Nathan Lu erupting for 25 points in matches held at the Philippine Cultural College gym.
Meanwhile, CKSC and St. Stephen’s HS forged a title clash in Developmental division with the Junior Blue Dragons scoring a 60-35 over GCC and the Stephenians blowing past St. Jude Catholic School, 60-33.
Pagsanjan, who is being eyed by UAAP teams, led Hope Christian with 18 points while Jacob abd Joshua de Vera posted 10 points each.
Also shining for PCKHS were Martin Lu and Carl Chan who had 17 points each in the event backed by Freego, with former UP standout Sunny Co as tournament director and Edster Sy as digital marketing chief.
