FIL-AMERICANS Joshua Munzon and Avery Scharer are set to bolster the IECO Green Warriors in the 2018 Asia League Terrific 12 later this month.
Coach Ariel Vanguardia unveiled his 13-man roster set to see action at Studio City Event Center in Macau from September 18 to 23.
Munzon last saw action for the Westports Malaysia Dragons in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL), while Scharer has been with Hi-Tech Bangkok City in Thailand since 2016.
The Green Warriors have also secured the services of Mark Cruz and James Sena, who were loaned to the squad by Blackwater.
They will join the core of the Go for Gold team thatwon the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup title, namely Gab Banal, Jai Reyes, Matt Salem, Ron Dennison, and Kris Porter.
Also part of the crew are imports Richard Howell and Sam Logwood, Fil-Am sniper Kyle Toth, who played for Marinerong Pilipino in the PBA D-League, and former Saigon Heat swingman Mikey Williams, are listed as reserves.
Vanguardia will call the shots for the team together with Charles Tiu and Tino Pinat.
IECO will have its hands full when it takes on some of the continent's top teams in Chinese squads Shandong Hi-speed Golden Stars, Xinjiang Flying Tigers, Zhejiang Guangsha Lions, and Guangzhou Long Lions, Korean teams Samsung Thunders, and Mobis Phoebus, Japanese squads Chiba Jets, Ryukyu Golden Kings, Nagoya Diamond Dolphins, and Chinese Taipei teams Fubon Braves and Yulon Luxgen Dinos.
Vanguardia also expressed his desire for the Green Warriors to get the nod to represent the Philippines in the 2018 Fiba Asia Champions Cup in Thailand.
"We're also hoping that we can represent the Philippines there in the Fiba Asia Champions Cup," he said of the club tournament set in Nonthaburi, Thailand from September 25 to 30.
"We will be happy to help the SBP should they need a representative. We're only one phone call away."
