ZHOU Qi had 32 points had 10 rebounds as China beat Syria, 90-59, at the close of its Fiba Basketball World Cup Asian qualifiers campaign on Sunday at the Nouhad Nawfal Stadium in Lebanon.
The former Houston Rockets center led the way for China, which finished the World Cup qualifiers with a 7-5 card.
China finished in third place in Group E but is not included in the rankings being an automatic qualifier as host of the 2019 Fiba Basketball World Cup.
Shuo Fang was the only other double digit scorer for China with 13 points but it was enough as it sent Syria to its 10th loss in 12 games.
Magd Harbasha had 12 points for Syria, which played its home game in a neutral site.
