DESPITE the 98-92 loss Team Pilipinas suffered against Jordan in their tune-up game Monday night, Yeng Guiao still saw some good signs with the way the Nationals played before a jampacked crowd at the Meralco gym.

Guiao believes a few more practices and three more tune-up games, including a rematch with the Jordanians on Wednesday, would be enough to whip the team into 'competitive shape' in time for the fifth window of the FIBA World Cup qualifiers two weeks from now.

"The chemistry I think is good, we just need a little bit more time siguro," said Guiao in his post game interview.

"These games are learning experiences for us. What we want to do or what we want to achieve is to be able to see where our shortcomings are, where our weaknesees are so we can work on them in practices," added the national coach.

The nationals fell behind by as many as 12 points early on, but managed to crawl themselves back and made a game out of it in the homestretch.

"We've had some good stretches, but we also had some bad stretches," noted Guiao.

"Our execution are still not that good. We have to fine tune our execution on both ends."
