DON Trollano was finally given clearance to play in the 18th Asian Games.
The TnT Katropa guard got the green light during the managers' meeting of the 14 teams seeing action in the basketballl competitions of the quadrennial meet.
"Yes, he was approved," said Edison Oribiana, PBA alternate governor of Rain or Shine, whose core made up the Philippine men's national team.
Trollano was a last-minute replacement for Fil-Am guard Jordan Clarkson, who failed to get clearance from the NBA to suit up for the national team in the August 18 to Septembe 2 tournament.
The PH coaching staff said Trollano is a good addition to the team.
"He's a good physical player who can shoot the threes," said deputy coach Caloy Garcia, who previously handled Trollano when he was still playing for Rain or Shine.
Trollano is now available for coach Yeng Guiao for the rest of the Asiad, including its first game against Kazakhstan on Thursday.
