IF you haven't secured your tickets yet for Gilas Pilipinas' qualifier away to Japan, there's a slim chance you can still get one.
An official of the Japan Basketball Association (JBA) told Fiba.com that tickets for the two teams' Nov. 24 debut in the qualifiers for the 2019 Fiba World Cup have been sold out since last Monday.
Curiously, the game will be held at Tokyo's Komazawa Gymnasium which hosted the wrestling events during the 1964 Summer Olympics.
The gymnasium has a capacity of only 3,875.
"I am so pleased to know fans in Japan pay a great deal of attention to the game against Philippines," JBA secretary-general Michihiro Tanaka told Fiba.com.
Fans of Gilas have a better chance of catching the team in action on Nov. 27 when the Philippines hosts longtime rival Chinese-Taipei at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
However, the Big Dome's ticketing arm has yet to start selling tickets to the game.
