THAILAND finished its Southeast Asian Basketball Association (Seaba) Championship campaign on a high note, turning back Singapore, 67-57, on Wednesday night to assure itself of the bronze medal.

The Thais built an early lead before holding off a late rally by the Singaporeans on the way to finishing the tournament with four wins in six games.

Fourth-running Malaysia sports a 2-3 win-loss record and not even a win in its last game against Myanmar on Thursday would be enough to deny Thailand of a podium finish.

Chitchai Ananti bounced back from a scoreless outing against Gilas Pilipinas as he fired 17 points in 22 minutes before going out after a collision with an opponent in the fourth period.

Kannut Samerjai added 15 points, while Patipan Klahan chipped in 10 points and 10 boards for the Thais, who handed the Singaporeans their fourth loss in five games.
