Thailand scores first victory, keeps Indonesia winless in Seaba U16

THAILAND notched its first victory in the 2017 Seaba Under-16 Championship, beating Indonesia, 79-69, on Tuesday the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Arnagorn Homthuanlom scored 21, while Tanawat Preechahan ended up with 14 points as the Thais improved their record to 1-1.

The Thais are in third place in the standings.

Only three teams from Southeast Asia will advance to the Fiba Asia Under-17 Championship this year.

Christopher Felix Alexander had 21 points for the Indonesians, winless in three games.

The scores:

Thailand 79 — Homthuanlom 21, Preechahan 14, Boateng 12, Chayapiwat 11, Wadman 10, Rattanawiwatpong 7, Preechatiwong 2, Kinnaret 2.

Indonesia 69 — Alexander 21, Linduaji 15, Robert 9, Bonfillo 7, Fawwaz 7, Olindo 3, Tarigan 3, Sebastian 2, Fernanda 2, Hans 0, Patiara 0, Christiano 0.

Quarterscores: 23-13; 44-33; 61-48; 79-69.
