WHILE once again flashing his strengths, Terrence Romeo also bared one of the few weaknesses of his game against Wellington of New Zealand in the MVP Cup on Saturday.
His stellar play led Gilas Pilipinas in its come-from-behind 84-81 win over the Saints, but it also concealed his inconsistent free-throw shooting.
Romeo scored a team-high 18 points, but he made just 2-of-7 charities, although he buried his last two that turned out to be the final score.
“Kailangan pa i-work on ang free throws,” the GlobalPort star said.
And Romeo expressed his gratitude toward coach Tab Baldwin and his teammates for keeping his trust in him and letting him stay in the game.
Despite his suspect free-throw shooting, Romeo did more than enough to lead the comeback, scoring 12 of his total output in the payoff period.
