TEAM Pilipinas will have to cram again as it prepares for its next game in the FIBA World Cup qualifiers against Qatar on Monday.
The Nationals have been holed up at the Dubai International Airport as their flight back to Manila is delayed for 12 hours due to typhoon Ompong.
Originally, the team was set to arrive in the country Friday night, but the delay in flight meant the Filipinos will arrive instead on Saturday morning.
That would give the national squad just about 48 hours to train against Qatar, which it will play behind closed door Monday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum at the end of the fourth window of the qualifiers.
"Pagod, exhausted," was the curt reply of Team Pilipinas chief scout Ryan Gregorio about the current situation of the team.
The Filipinos left Tehran shortly after their 81-73 loss against Iran Thursday night.
Arrangements are now being made by Emirates Airlines as the team spends the night over in Dubai.
The Qataris could also face a delayed flight going to Manila as they are also scheduled to plane in on Friday night.
The team lost to Australia at home, 95-43, also on Thursday night.
