NEW Zealand finished with four wins out of the five matches it played during two pocket tournaments in China leading up to the Fiba Asia Cup 2025.
The Tall Blacks captured the Four Nations Tournament title in Shenzhen when they defeated Guangdong, 82-77, in the championship game, and Brazil, 90-89, in the first day of the competition.

New Zealand also saw action in the Solidarity Cup where they picked up two wins, beating Guangdong, 90-66, and Montenegro, 89-82, before losing to Brazil, 85-68.
Tall Blacks debutant Mojave King had 19 points in the game against Guangdong, and 22 against Brazil during the Four Nations Tournament.
Flynn Cameron was the top scorer from the Tall Blacks’ campaign in the Solidarity Cup where he averaged 18.3 points.
The Tall Blacks will be one of the teams standing in the way of Gilas Pilipinas in the group stage of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Philippines is scheduled to play world No. 22 New Zealand on Thursday, 11 p.m. Manila time, their second game in the group stage after their debut against Chinese Taipei on Wednesday, 2 a.m. Manila time.
