ATENEO Blue Eagles coach Tab Baldwin flatly denied a story that came out in a New Zealand newspaper suggesting that he may apply or is a candidate for the national head coaching job.
"Just media speculation. No offer from New Zealand basketball," the four-time UAAP champion told SPIN.ph.
An article published by The Post said Baldwin has emerged as one of the candidates to replace Pero Cameron and steer a New Zealand program he took to great heights in his first run as Tall Blacks coach starting in 2001.

Citing sources, the story said the former Gilas Pilipinas coach has 'expressed interest' in the position.
However, Baldwin said he has had no contract with NZ Basketball and his sole focus is on the Blue Eagles' campaign in the coming UAAP season.
Contrary to a published local report, Baldwin also clarified that his contract at Ateneo ends on December of 2025, not at the end of Season 87.
Baldwin, 66, was honored by the New Zealand government for leading the Tall Blacks to the semifinals of the 2002 Fiba World Championship.
He was inducted into the New Zealand Basketball Hall of Fame last year.
