KAI Sotto, AJ Edu, and Dalph Panopio will be part of the pool of Gilas Pilipinas Youth in the Fiba Under-19 Basketball World Cup on June 29 to July 7.
Gilas Youth head coach Sandy Arespacochaga said Sotto will return to the country and join the squad at the start of June in preparation for the World Cup set to be held in Heraklion, Greece.
Edu, a Fil-Nigerian who played for NCAA Division 1 University of Toledo this year, will also arrive in June, while Panopio, a Fil-Italian, will be joining the squad in Doha when Gilas Youth plays in pocket tournaments there, the coach added.
Sotto is currently in the US where he is training for his stint in Europe, although the former Ateneo Blue Eaglet committed to join the Under-19 World Cup team which qualified after finishing fourth in the 2018 Fiba Asia Under-18 Championship.
Edu and Panopio also played for the Philippines in the same Asian championship.
