Making it to the final cut are the Wagner brothers Franz and Moritz, whose towering presence and lethal offense will add a fearsome touch to Die Mannschaft's redemption run.
Standing at 6-foot-10, 21-year-old Franz will take on the sport's biggest showpiece carrying high expectations upon being pegged as the new face of German basketball.
The Orlando Magic star had a breakout sophomore year in the NBA, posting 18.6 points on 48.5% shooting, 1.6 treys, 4.1 boards, 3.5 assists, and one steal in 80 starts.

Boosting the German frontcourt is his brother and NBA teammate Moritz, who at 6-foot-11, did not feature in Germany's 18th place trainwreck in the global tilt four years ago.
In 57 games played, Moritz averaged 10.5 points on 50% shooting, with 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 0.6 steal per game.
Together with the dynamic German duo, all eyes will be on ex-Laker Dennis Schröder after a rollercoaster year in Los Angeles.
Carrying a decade's worth of NBA experience, the 6-foot-1 winger tallied 12.4 points on 41.5% shooting, 1.1 threes, 4.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 0.8 steal for L.A. and is expected to be one of Germany's core playmakers in the global showpiece.

Notably axed from the final roster is Dallas Mavericks star Maxi Kleber, a senior German cager whose national team career has been slowed down by an Achilles injury that also led him to miss the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Completing Germany's final 12 for the global showpiece are Indiana Pacers' Daniel Theis, Bayern Munich's Isaac Bonga, Andreas Obst, Niels Giffey, Justus Hollatz, David Kramer, Johannes Voigtmann, Maodo Lo, and Johannes Thiemann.
Die Mannschaft begins World Cup pool play in Group E against Japan (Aug. 25), Australia (Aug. 27), and Finland (Aug. 29) in Okinawa.
