ROBERT Bolick is set to reinforce the Gilas Pilipinas Men's pool.
The NorthPort rookie confirmed that he was invited by no less than coach Yeng Guiao to attend the national team's training on Monday at Meralco Gym.
"Oo, pupunta ako," he said, adding he was humbled by the opportunity given him so early in his professional career.
"Nagpapasalamat ako na nabigyan ako ng chance na makalaro sa national team. Pangarap ko na makasama sa Gilas dati pa."
The 23-year-old Bolick has previously been listed in coach Chot Reyes' "23-for-2023" cadets pool that saw action in the 2018 Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup.
Bolick has been given the keys to the kingdom for the Batang Pier after Stanley Pringle's trade to Ginebra.
The former San Beda star has been on a tear this 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup, averaging 17.3 points on a 43-percent shooting, to go with 5.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists to lead NorthPort to a 7-1 win-loss record.
His arrival couldn't have come at a better time for Gilas Pilipinas with Jayson Castro already begging off for the 2019 Fiba World Cup in China this August.
Bolick is set to join Magnolia's Mark Barroca and the returning Kiefer Ravena of NLEX in this Monday's practice session.
