ROBERT Bolick will forever be grateful to San Beda and NorthPort for helping him build his confidence that led to an invitation to join the Gilas Pilipinas pool.
"Kung hindi dahil sa kanila, hindi ako makakarating dito," said the rookie after attending his first national team practice on Monday.
Bolick is one of the new faces in coach Yeng Guiao's Gilas pool and he's just overjoyed having this opportunity this early in his PBA career.
Inaaccept ko lang yung honor na makasama ako dito," said the Ormoc-born playmaker, who has been having a tear in the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup to average 17.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists to help NorthPort clinch a quarterfinal seat.
Whatever his fate may be in this first stint with the national team, Bolick said that he'll always treasure this chance.
Ina-accept ko lang yung honor," he said.
