ROBERT Bolick and Adrian Nocum have developed a strong bond during their Gilas Pilipinas call-up for the 20th Asian Games.
Their connection has been evident by their recent posts on their social media account.
Nocum once posted a reel of him describing Bolick's ability to strike up a conversation with anyone because of his fluency in speaking English, Tagalog, and Bisaya.
Bolick also posted a photo of him with Nocum inside the plane bound for Korea to resume their build-up for the Asiad, with the caption “banat,” Nocum’s favorite punchline and the branding of his merchandise - 'No Pressure.'

The exchanges on social media is a testament to the chemistry that has developed in Gilas Pilipinas’ title-retention bid for the Asiad. Bolick said the camaraderie is not limited to Nocum alone.
“Hindi siya pilitan na samahan,” said the NLEX guard about the camaraderie in the team. “Parang natural lang talaga na medyo maganda ‘yung team.”
“Pareho kaming makukulit, pero pagdating sa laro, pareho kaming focus,” Bolick added.
Nocum said he is fortunate to have Bolick as his teammate at Gilas Pilipinas not just because he is not only easy to get along with but also someone he can learn from with his skills and experience on the court that he can learn from.
“Roommate kami ni Kuya Robert,” said the 27-year-old Nocum, three years younger than Bolick. “Nagkasama na kami sa All-Star. Si Kuya Robert ‘yung sobrang gaan pakisamahan. Maraming kuwento. Marami kang matututunan sa kanya, kakulitan.”
Bolick believes the relationship off the court will translate on the court when they play the games in the Asiad.
“Masarap tignan sila Balti (Justine Baltazar), Jerrick (Ahanmisi), lahat sa team, matutunan ko rin kung saan nila gustong tumira, saan sila malakas,” Bolick said.
“At least, pagdating sa PBA, ma-scout na,” Bolick said in jest.
