BROTHERS Ricci and Prince Rivero are in no rush to make a decision on where they'll be suiting up next after their stunning departure from La Salle.
The two took part in the second practice session of the Gilas Pilipinas cadet pool that is set to compete in the Filoil Premier Cup, saying that will be their sole focus until they make their next career move.
The high-flying Ricci Rivero said that since the next school year won't start until August, then there's no reason for him to hurry into a decision.
"Meron pa akong until August para mag-decide. Pero sa ngayon, focus ko muna is with (Philippine team). Siyempre, iba dito, country na ang nire-represent. We have to be at our best," Rivero said.
Prince said everything is up in the air as far as his career options are concerned, including possible stints in the PBA D-League or other semi-pro leagues.
"As of now I'm gonna focus sa (Philippine team) and try to get drafted sa D-League. I have a lot of time pa to decide whether to continue playing in college or go to semi pro na or focus on RP," said the burly forward.
Prince, who is still attending classes at La Salle, vowed to finish his studies regardless if he plays college ball or not, saying it a degree will be his 'insurance policy' in the future.
"I'm gonna study muna kasi malapit ko na matapos college. Iba rin 'pag nakapaglaro ka ng college at nakapagtapos ka," said the third-year college student. "At least 'yung basketball andyan lang s'ya and whatever happens, I have a fallback (plan)."
