Two days after the crushing news that Kai Sotto and Quentin Millora-Brown will not suit up against New Zealand and Australia, a bright light of hope emerged.

In a last-minute deal that required an entire galaxy of stars to align, the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) and Millora-Brown have agreed to terms on a contract.

Put together on Wednesday afternoon, the pact will pave the way for the 6-foot-10 center to join Gilas' ongoing camp and then play against the Tall Blacks and the Boomers.
Sources said he will board a plane that will take him from Japan to Manila on Thursday afternoon and should be in camp by Friday.
Terms of the deal were not immediately known. But a source with knowledge of the negotiations revealed that QMB will be getting the requisite protections attendant to playing outside of the Japan B.League where he toils for the Chiba Jets.
