BOCAUE — The Philippine men’s team started its 2018 Fiba 3x3 World Cup campaign on a high note, beating Brazil, 15-7, on Saturday at Philippine Arena.

Stanley Pringle left the Brazilians befuddled with his one-on-one wizardry as the host team, at No. 19 ranked 13 rungs below sixth seed Brazil in the 20-team field, booked the first major upset in Pool C.

Stanley Pringle dazzled his way to four points to lead the balanced attack as his late flurry put the game beyond reach, to the delight of a loud home crowd.
