BOCAUE — European teams threw their weight around on Day One of competitions in the 2018 Fiba 3x3 World Cup Friday at Philippine Arena.

Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Croatia all came out unscathed as they held the top spots in their respective groups.

The most impressive of those wins, though, was the Polish side upsetting perennial contender Slovenia, 21-17.

Michael Hicks led all scorers for the day with 18 points for Poland in Pool B.
