Paul Desiderio had 19 points and eight rebounds while Radge Tongco had 13 points as Batang Gilas moved up to play Japan for fifth place on Thursday.
The Under-18 cagers' title quest ended on Tuesday with a loss to Chinese Taipei.
The Philippines jumped out to a 19-6 lead against Kazakhstan and held on until the end despite being outscored, 23-13, in the third.
