JOLLO Go fired 27 points as the Philippines put up a gallant stand late in the game before bowing to Argentina, 84-71, in the classification round of the FIBA Under-17 World Championship in Dubai Thursday night.
The Batang Gilas fell short after cutting a 22-point deficit to just eight entering the stretch.
The loss relegated the Filipinos to the playoffs for 13th to 16th places.
Go picked up the cudgels for the team, which played without top scorer Jolo Mendoza due to a hamstring injury.
