JAKARTA – The Philippines squares off against Korea on Monday in the quarterfinal round of the 18th Asian Games basketball competition. This is perhaps the first real test for Korea having won against their Group A opponents by an average margin of 38 points per outing.

But while focus is on naturalized player Ricardo Ratliffe, there are other players from Korea who can pose problems for the Philippines. SPIN.ph took a look at the statistics of the players, and while the stats in the preliminaries may not be a reflection of the real Korea, the list could give an idea of who the players we have to watch out for in Monday’s game.

Jeon Junbeom: The 6-foot-4 forward is the leading scorer outside Ratliffe as he is averaging 16.3 points per game. He gets his scoring from three-point range as he averages four conversions per outing in this Asian Games.

Kang Sangjae: Outside Ratliffe, Kang could be a low post as well as a rebounding threat for Korea. The 6-foot-7 center has averages of 11.7 points and 6.0 rebounds for Korea in the Asiad preliminaries.

Lee Junghyun: The 6-foot-3 forward is averaging 11.7 points for Korea but could explode in an important game like the quarterfinal match against the Philippines. The leading three-point scorer for Korea in the Fiba World Cup qualifiers, Lee has drilled an average of 2.3 triples per contest. He can also contribute in variety of ways as proof of his averages of 4.0 assists and 1.7 steals in the Asiad.
