SLEEPLESS and weary, the Philippine men's basketball team quickly buckled down to work upon arriving in Jakarta, Indonesia for the 18th Asian Games.
The Filipinos held their first practice on Monday afternoon then watched game videos of the Kazakhstan team which they will face in their tournament debut on Thursday.
"We've done a little bit of scouting already and we just keep on watching the videos while practicing," said coach Yeng Guiao.
The team arrived in the Indonesian capital early Monday morning and checked in at the Athletes Village to get some rest.
"We settled down to have a feel of the Athletes Village first and then ensayo na kami," said Guiao.
A managers meeting was being held at posting time where the team will try to insert the name of last-minute replacement Don Trollano.
The TnT Katropa guard however, had already been issued his accreditation by the Indonesia Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC).
