ALMOND Vosotros is putting all his energy into getting better as he continues to work out with the national team as part of the Gilas training pool while waiting for a chance to return to the PBA.
A free agent, the former La Salle star does not really mind his lack of exposure in the big league and believes his time will come.
Now it's all a matter of making the most out of the opportunity with Gilas and as a practice player with TNT Ka-Tropa.
"Actually, 'di ko naman siya tinitignan as disadvantage. Basta sumasabay lang ako sa training. Puro positive sides lang tinitignan ko," said Vosotros after Wednesday's training sessions at the Meralco Gym.
"Sumasabay naman ako sa Talk N Text kaya 'di naman ako nawawala sa kung papaano laro sa PBA," he added.
He may be missing much needed grind time in the pros, but with Gilas practices now hitting full throttle, Vosotros gets the opportunity to again show what he can do on the court.
He'll also get to polish his skills as he continues to work out with the league's top guards in Jayson Castro, Terrence Romeo and Jiovani Jalalon in training sessions.
When it's all said and done, it's all about being a better player - and that's what Vosotros is all about right now.
"Ibang experience talaga yung makasama rito (Gilas). Sobrang tumataas yung level mo. Pati yung confidence sa sarili, tumataas kapag ganito yung practice."
