CHICAGO - With Quentin Millora-Brown and Kai Sotto not expected to participate in today's start of the 10-day Gilas camp leading to the upcoming Fiba qualifying window, a bit of good news surfaced.
"Dwight Ramos is in transit and should be landing in Manila today," his agent, PJ Pilares, told SPIN.ph on Monday morning.
It also appears that Ramos will play in the Feb 26 and March 1 games versus New Zealand and Australia at the Mall of Asia Arena.
"There are no contract challenges," Pilares replied in a brief telephone interview when asked if a deal is in place between the star guard and the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP).
Ramos averaged 16.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in the 2025 Fiba Asia Cup.
The Fil-Am's presence will help blunt the impact of Gilas potentially losing its twin towers.
It sure is a manic Monday for Gilas fans.
