SERBIA beat Italy, 96-64, in the 2019 Acropolis Tournament in Athens, Greece as the two teams gear up for the 2019 Fiba Basketball World Cup.
Nikola Jokic scored 20 points while Bogdan Bogdanovic added 15 points for the Serbians in a match against their fellow Group D team in the World Cup in China.
Boban Marjanovic, Marko Guduric, and Nemenja Bjelica had 13 points each.
Marco Belinelli had 16 points while Alessandro Gentile added 11 points for the Italians.
The two teams will also be facing Gilas Pilipinas in the Fiba Basketball World Cup . The Philippine squad facing Italy on August 31 and Serbia on September 2.
The Serbians dominated the match, scoring 13 three-pointers against the Italians. A strong 31-17 second quarter enabled Serbia to take a 45-32 halftime advantage.
