GILAS Pilipinas tapered off in its buildup as it held its last nighttime practice on home soil Monday night ahead of its the Fiba World Cup qualifying game against Japan.

After two practices on Sunday for Andray Blatche to catch up, the Filipino dribblers returned to the court at the Meralco gym on the eve of its flight to Tokyo three days before they face Japan.

Terrence Romeo was the only one missing in the 16-man pool.

Calvin Abueva, Kiefer Ravena, Matthew Wright, Jayson Castro, Mac Belo, Roger Pogoy, Carl Bryan Cruz, June Mar Fajardo, Japeth Aguilar, Gabe Norwood, Troy Rosario, Kevin Alas, Allein Maliksi, and Blatche showed up.

Almazan, though, was reduced to a spectator as he was nursing an apparent foot injury, while Alas also didn't suit up.

The team also studied clips to break down Japan players’ tendencies as shown in Gilas coach Chot Reyes’ Instagram story.
