WATCH Pau Gasol dunks, drops dimes and shoots treys to carry Spain back to the top of Fiba Europe
Pau Gasol comes up with 25 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, three blocked shots, one steal and no turnovers to earn the tournament's Most Valuable Player award.

SPAIN topped FIBA Europe for the third time in the last four tournaments, with Pau Gasol proving he is still the main man in the continental championship.

With a cast that featured mainly European league stars and with Chicago Bulls teammate Nikola Mirotic as the only other NBA player in the squad, Gasol came up with big games and Spain went on to cap the run with an 80-63 win over Lithuania on Sunday in Lille.

It wasn’t easy at first, though, as the team without the Memphis Grizzlies’ Mark Gasol, Oklahoma City Thunder’s Serge Ibaka, Juan Carlos Navarro of FC Barcelona and the Minnesota Wimberwolves’ Ricky Rubio, Spain struggled at first but found its rhythm in the matches that mattered.
