FANS will have to settle for high-level seats as the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas revealed that court-level area tickets for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena next month are nearly sold out.

SBP executive director Sonny Barrios said 65 to 75 percent of the VIP and Patron tickets have already been sequestered by Fiba.

“There are very little tickets for sale at the court level,” Barrios said in the Gilas send-off press conference on Wednesday. “Gilas games are good as sold out.”

Ticket prices in the group stage for the Lower Box section is at P6,800, Upper Box at P400, and General Admission at P200. Lower box seats go up to P8K in the semifinals and P10K in the finals, while Upper Box and Gen Ad tickets remain the same in the last two rounds.

Asked about the numbers on the ticket sales, SM Lifestyle Entertainment PR and advertising manager Stephanie Henares told on Thursday that MOA Arena officials “don’t give that info out.”

Fans who won’t be able to avail of tickets can enjoy watching on TV at the comfort of their homes as all games of the Philippines and the rest of the Manila OQT games, as well as that of the two other qualifying tournaments in Turin and Belgrade, will be shown live on TV5.
