The England-based prospect also dropped by Batang Gilas practice on Wednesday since he's committed to playing for youth team in the 2018 Fiba Asia Under-18 Championship.

Teh said the SBP and Batang Gilas bring Edu to training camps in and around London during breaks from school, with the aim of toughening the teenager for Gilas duty.

The Philippines faces top-seed Netherlands and Israel on the first day of the tournament, before facing off against Poland and Turkmenistan on June 30. The top two teams from each of the four groups advance to the knockout stages.
