Almazan, Jalalon hard at work on birthdays as Gilas crams for Fiba Asia Cup test

BIRTHDAY boys Raymond Almazan and Jio Jalalon joined of Gilas Pilipinas players in their seventh practice for the Fiba Asia Cup on Wednesday night.

Almazan and Jalalon chose to celebrate their special day with teammates in practice as the team is cramming for the Beirut, Labanon showcase which starts six days from now.

Also present among the players bound for the Fiba Asia Cup were Calvin Abueva, Terrence Romeo, Christian Standhardinger, Gabe Norwood, Matthew Wright, and Carl Bryan Cruz.

Excused from practice were Japeth Aguilar, June Mar Fajardo, Jayson Castro, and Roger Pogoy, who are seeing action for their respective PBA mother ballclubs on the same day.

Fiba Asia Cup team reserve Ed Daquioag as well as Mac Belo, on standby as replacement for Cruz in the team for the Southeast Asian Games, were also in attendance.

Mike Tolomia, Rarray Parks, Kiefer Ravena, Raymar Jose, Kobe Paras, Almond Vosotros, and Fonzo Gotladera showed up for the SEA Games squad.

Andre Paras joined the national team in practice for the second straight day.
