RAYMAR Jose struggled to put into words his feelings when he was named to the Gilas Pilipinas team bound  Kuala Lumpur for the Southeast Games in August.

In a pool filled with PBA players and celebrated amateur stars like Kobe Paras and Kiefer Ravena, the hardworking forward out of Far Eastern University is motivated to prove he belongs.

"Sobrang excited ako na makasali ako dito," he said.

"Hindi talaga in-expect e," said Jose, who had stints in the Asean Basketball League (ABL) and the D-League after his stint with the Tamaraws.

What excites him most was reuniting with college buddies Mike Tolomia and Carl Cruz when the regional conclave unfurls over a month from now.

"Masaya!
