Perlas Pilipinas clinches Seaba championship after thrilling win over host Malaysia
Perlas Pilipinas won for the fifth time in as many games.

PERLAS Pilipinas all but wrapped up the 2016 Seaba Championship for Women after defeating host Malaysia, 77-73, on Saturday in Melacca.

Allana Lim tallied 16 points while Afril Bernadino added 14 points for Perlas Pilipinas, which won for the fifth time in as many outings with one game left in the competition.

By improving to a 5-0 slate and dealing second-placer Malaysia its first loss of the competition, the Perlas Pilipinas squad claimed the crown with only Thailand left to play on Sunday.

Amby Almazan added 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Philippines.
