MARCIO Lassiter is expected to be back in Gilas Pilipinas practices this week, according to head coach Tab Baldwin.

Baldwin said Lassiter is still down with a flu but expects the San Miguel hotshot to be back this week when Gilas practices continues.

“Marcio is sick. He got a pretty bad case of flu. Hopefully, if he isn’t back tomorrow (Monday), he should be back on Wednesday,” said Baldwin.

As to the other players, Baldwin said June Mar Fajardo is expected to work out with the team on Monday evening after suffering a swollen knee.

“I think June Mar is going to work out (Monday) and do what Jeff is doing right now,” said Baldwin.

Baldwin was referring to Jeff Chan, who was recovering from a groin injury but felt “discomfort” during their practice last Saturday.

“Jeff isn’t ready to go live yet. He felt a little discomfort yesterday (Saturday) when he was doing drills so we slowed him down. These guys are going to work their way into shape,” said Baldwin.
