BOCAUE — Marcella Filippi drained the biggest basket for Italy as her jumper from deep brought her side a 15-13 overtime win over China and advance to the women’s Finals of the 2018 Fiba 3x3 World Cup Tuesday at Philippine Arena here.

Rae Lin D’Alie grabbed the offensive rebound and found her teammate open from beyond the arc as Filippi drilled the game-clinching two-pointer, her lone points of the duel, to help the Italians down the top-seeded Chinese in their semifinal.

D’Alie has been nothing but magnificent for Italy, dropping 10 points in the conquest, none bigger than her turnaround jumper that knotted the game at 13.

Giulia Ciavarella also added three in the squeaker as the Italians now brace for the defending champion Russia.

Anastasia Logunova was clutch in the first game as her free throws brought the Russians back to the championship round with their 19-17 overtime stunner over France.

The Russians found the mismatch in the tense final moments as Logunova drew a foul from Marie-Eve Paget.

That proved to be the French’s downfall as the penalty situation rewarded the final two foul shots to Russia, capping off its fightback after being down 10-5 early.

Anna Leshkovtseva anchored the Russians with eight points, while Logunova and Alexandra Stolyar both had eight.

The scores:

First Game

Russia 19 — Leshkovtseva 8, Logunova 5, Stolyar 5, Sapova 1.

France 17 — Diallo 8, Paget 5, Tayeau 3, Nayo 1.

Second Game

Italy 15 — D’Alie 10, Ciavarella 3, Filippi 2, Rulli 0.

China 13 — Jiang 6, Zhang 4, Li 2, Sun 1.
