KOBE Paras, Jeron Teng, Kiefer Ravena, and JR Quinahan are confident the Philippines can improve on its 11th place finish when the country hosts Fiba 3x3 World Cup next year.

The four went 2-2 in the preliminaries and failed to advance in the tournament in Nantes, France but all believe they learned a lot.

"Looking at the bigger picture, itong tournament, its not for nothing. It's a learning experience for us for the next 3x3 pa," said Teng.

"Sana sa susunod, makakuha pa tayo ng marami pang panalo," said Quinahan.

The Philippines split its first two matches in Nantes, downing Romania before bowing to host France.

The squad was eliminated after a loss to Slovenia but ended the tournament on a bright note with victory over El Salvador.

"Experience din namin ito para masabi sa susunod na 3x3 kung ano ang gawin at kung ano ang i-improve," said Paras.

The four agreed the experience they gained will go a long way, and the Chooks-Pilipinas 3x3 team members held their head high as they met scribes on Saturday at the Discovery Suites in Ortigas.

"Maliit kami, pinakabata pero lumaban. I guess we can still improve on that. Having enough knowledge of the game is very important so dapat prepared ka, well conditioned yung utak mo," said Ravena, a 3x3 basketball advocate.
