GILAS Pilipinas brought the cavalry to practice on Sunday afternoon at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Kiefer Ravena led the cast of cadets who joined the national team in training as additional warm bodies ahead of the Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

“Tulong sa team,” the amateur star told before going inside the venue with Kevin Ferrer. “Sabi na kailangan daw ng mga extra bodies to keep players fresh in time for next week’s tournament, so gagawin naman namin yun.”

“The more bodies we can get in, the better,” added Ravena, who tagged along girlfriend Alyssa Valdez with him.

Aside from Ravena and Ferrer, Blackwater rookie Almond Vosotros was also expected to join in, likely as defenders as Gilas runs simulations of the offense it hopes to run against France in its OQT debut on Tuesday.
