BOBBY Ray Parks, Jr. and Fil-Nigerian teen AJ Edu led just 10 players who showed up in Gilas Pilipinas' practice on Thursday at the Meralco Gym.

Kevin Ferrer and Matthew Wright were the new faces who joined eight others in the pool's training for the Jones Cup in Taipei next month.

Ed Daquioag, Raymar Jose, Von Pessumal, Fonzo Gotladera, and Almond Vosotros were the other active participants, while Mac Belo watched from the sidelines in street clothes.

Mike Myers, TNT KaTropa's stand-by import in the PBA Finals, later joined the team.

The good news for Gilas is that Kobe Paras and Kiefer Ravena are expected to join the pool’s training as the pair will arrive from France on Friday.

According to his father Benjie, Kobe will join the pool next week after an impressive stint in the Fiba 3x3 World Cup, where Team Philippines finished with a 2-2 record.
