Gilas buckles down to work with 16-strong lineup for Jones Cup, SEAG buildup

WITH the Jones Cup a little over two weeks away, Gilas Pilipinas buckled down to work with a strong attendance of 16 players in Thursday's practice at the Meralco gym.

Showing up for his second day of training with the national team is Fil-German Christian Standhardinger, who arrived from Germany on Tuesday night and was introduced to Gilas on Wednesday afternoon's practice.

Also joining Standhardinger are fellow new Gilas boys Kobe Paras, Baser Amer and Raymar Jose along with Ray Parks, Kiefer Ravena, Matthew Wright, Mike Tolomia, Kevin Ferrer, Almond Vosotros, Ed Daquioag, Carl Bryan Cruz, Jio Jalalon and Von Pessumal.

TNT standby import Mike Myers, who will suit up for Jones Cup that begins on July 15, was also present. Mac Belo again showed up but will only participate in non-contact drills.
