NICOLAS Batum showed up at the Mall of Asia Arena on Tuesday hours before France takes on the Philippines at the start of the Fiba Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

Batum, who arrived in the  morning, was seen taking shots and jogging around the court area of the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday afternoon as he prepares to see action for France in the Olympic qualifiers.

Although he's part of France's final 12-man roster, Batum is not expected to suit up against Gilas Pilipinas on Wednesday as he has yet to sign his new NBA contract with the Charlotte Hornets.

Teams can only sign free agents on or after July 7, meaning his fresh five-year, $120-million deal with the Hornets won't be guaranteed until that time.
