Tony Parker says playing before passionate Pinoy fans an 'unbelievable' experience
“I had a great time," says France sparkplug Tony Parker.

CHEERS greeted Tony Parker as soon as he arrived in Manila for the Fiba Olympic Qualifying Tournament to play for France. But sheers turned into jeers as soon as he faced Gilas on Tuesday night.

Parker, though, completely understood as he lauded the basketball-crazy Filipinos who stayed behind the home team until the bitter end of France's 93-84 win over Gilas at the Mall of Asia Arena.

He said he enjoyed the experience and it showed in his game, finishing with 21 points, four rebounds, and six assists.

“It was unbelievable. The crowd was great. I was looking forward to that game. Obviously, basketball is the number one sport in the Philippines. It was a big game for them,” he said.

“I had a great time. The crowd pushed everyone. They tried to beat us. It was a great game,” added Parker.

In general, Parker’s experience in the Philippines has been nothing less than great, as he looks forward to playing in the country again.

“I had a lot of fun. Can’t wait to play more games here. It’s been very good since our arrival. Philippines is great for basketball,” said Parker.
